“I’ll be traveling overseas with 2 children, 14 years and 2 months old. Has any one traveled by air with small children? I’ll be traveling with my DH, but I am still curious to know what to expect and how difficult it is to travel by air way with kids.”

It isn’t difficult to fly with them at all. Just make sure your children over the age of your infant has their own ticket. If your infant doesn’t have a ticket that is OK. You can carry your child on to the plane(many do) as a lap child. Just let the ticket/gate agent know.
But do bring something to entertain your children. Also infants usually have a hard time with the cabin pressure (your ears popping) so bring a bottle or some liquid on to the plane to help ease the infants pain. Being two months old, I’d consult your doctor. Most doctors will want to check the infant and make sure they are 100% ready to fly.
Its really not that difficult, people do it all the time. Just be sure to arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight departs (the sooner the better). Security usually takes an hour easy if not more. Just be prepared. And you’ll be fine!

You will be fine, just be prepared as you would if you were going on a long car journey. Make sure the 14 year old has something to occupy them, music, games, books, magazines…
If you aren’t having an in-flight meal take something with you. Maybe just snacks or even a sandwich etc… depending how long the flight is. Try to feed your baby when taking off and landing as sucking helps stop their ears popping. Make sure the children drink plenty of fluids (preferably water), as you should. Also, make sure they wear layers, so easy to cool down or get warm if necessary. I always find the plane is cool when I first get on it but then I get hot during the journey.
Also – if you’re taking your baby’s buggy – if you ask at check-in, they should let you keep the buggy until you board the plane. Lots of people do this to save disturbing the baby and not have to carry baby for 2 hours. Just ask when you check-in.
Hope this helps.
