No, not if it has expired.
I know a certain airline told me it was fine to use an out of date passport for ID, but this was 2 years ago & things may have changed by now.
Call up the airline you are flying with & ask them. They’ll be able to put your mind at rest. They’ll also be able to tell you what else you can use for photographic ID.
I am honestly not sure, it should be ok but you know how fussy they are just lately. Try giving them a call or popping into a local travel agents, I’m sure they will be happy to help.
I have looked online and from what I see it should be fine but I’d double check anyway just for a piece of mind…….I’d also get it in writing if they say its ok, this way there should be no problems.

It depends on the age of your daughter. Children under 16 years do in general not need a photo ID if traveling with a parent on domestic flights, but you should check the terms and conditions of your aircraft company.
