to fly from dublin …
to fly from dublin to cardiff with aer arann was £95 return! it dnt seem bad! but ryan air wil fly me for £20! its not to cardiff but bristol but its only 30 mins up the road(i take this journey every 6weeks as im from cardiff n go bak to party lol) as i only go for2-3 days i only take handluggage,online cheackin is a dream! tho security and on ur flight! aerarann seem very good,but price wise they arnt that cheap(compaired to ryan air)

Checked baggage allowance with Aer Arann is 15kgs and FREE of Charge per passenger on all flights — Ryanair charge €9 per checked bag, Aer Lingus charge €12 per checked bag! Ryanair charge €10 per kilo after 15kgs, Aer Lingus charge €9 – Aer Arann charge €7.
In a European context Aer Arann’s baggage allowance is excellent

I’ve quit Iarnród Éireann for my trips from Dublin to Cork in favour of the cheaper and more relaxed Aer Arann. Great company, they should be the flag carrier in my opinion. Aer Lingus made a huge mistake in scrapping their internal flights, one which Aer Arann have gained signifigantly on.

I wouldn’t be mad on aer arann because condidering their aveage aircraft age was 15 years in 2006 but if I had to choose a flight that Aer Lingus wasn’t flying, and ryanair and aer arann was, I would Probably choose aer arann.
