When we went we stayed at the Sheraton ‘Yankee Clipper’ before we left and the Sheraton ‘Yankee Trader’ when we got back, they are like a block from each other. Didn’t cost much for the cab ride (although I think they had a shuttle but we didn’t use it). You can check prices online or call them and ask for rates (have pretty good AAA & AARP rates), they also have packages that save you money but they don’t offer them unless you ASK!

I always suggest the Pelican Hotel on Ocean Drive because they are moderate priced, they give free beach chairs, umbrellas, passes to clubs and the rooms are differently themed.
